Hope for Children Hungary is looking for 5 trainers/facilitators for the following project. The International School Sport Federation supported by the Erasmus+ Program is implementing a collaborative partnership project called “Volunteering with School Sport” (V2S) that will start in January 2017 and end in March 2018. The main aim is to bring sustainable changes in partner school sport organizations in terms of youth involvement. 6 ISF members will take part in the project: school sport organizations from Croatia, France, Latvia, Malta, Turkey and Hungary. The selected trainers will train and facilitate 24 young volunteers (aged 14-16), 4 from each participating countries through 3 events.

  1. The training of young volunteers will take place in Budapest, Hungary organized by Hope For Children Hungary. The 24 young volunteers will learn to recognize the personal and collective benefits of taking part in voluntary activities in sport and will also be taught to raise awareness among their peers using the Education Through Sport methodology.
  2. The young volunteers will experiment to volunteer during the European School Sport Badminton Championship in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The European think tank Sport and Citizenship will also take part in the event by putting together a conference to allow sharing of experience and practices.
  3. Finally, the young volunteers will meet up in Zagreb, Croatia, to reflect upon their experience and bring up further ideas for action to be developed and implemented in their respective school sport organisation.

Expected trainer profile The selected trainer is expected to

  • have experience in working with the targeted young people (aged 14-16),
  • have experience in the field of sport for all or physical education ,
  • have experience in using sport/physical education as a tool for developing social skills, citizenship or volunteering,
  • speak English fluently,
  • speak one of these languages fluently: French, Croatian, Turkish, Latvian, Maltese 
  • resident 1 of the participating countries: Malta, France, Croatia, Turkey, Latvia
  • preferably have a degree in education,

Expected engagement The selected trainers will be expected to be present and engaged in 4 events in 2017.

  1. Preparatory meeting of the 6 facilitators: 3 days, 27th February-1st March 2017, in Budapest, Hungary.
  2. Training of Young Volunteers: 5 days, 3rd-7th April 2017, in Budapest, st
  3. European School Sport Badminton Championship: 6 days, 16-21 June 2017, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
  4. Young volunteers’ evaluation meeting: October 2017 (dates to be selected), in Zagreb, Croatia.

Trainers’ Fee

The selected trainers will be offered a contract of 3600 Euro (in 3 or 4 payments), plus all their costs (including travel and subsistence costs) related to the four activities described above are covered by the organisers. The work fee includes 18 training days and the relevant time for preparations and contributions to the report of each event.
